Tesco Superstore in Bicester, hosted a gift collection point, where people donated gifts such as chocolates, biscuits and beauty sets.

Once all the items were collected, they were wrapped by the team at Home Instead and then delivered to elderly clients of Forget Me Not Bicester, the Royal Voluntary Services in Banbury and the Salvation Army in Bicester.

Maria Finn, Home Instead’s recruitment manager said: “Every year we are always so amazed by the generosity of the local community who donate to our ‘Be a Santa to a Senior’ gift giving campaign.

"I would like to thank everyone who has donated a gift this year, helping older people feel less lonely over the festive season and ensuring they received a gift from their local community.”

Maria added: “Home Instead would also like to offer our deepest thanks to all the staff and customers at Tesco, Bicester, as well as mayor Jason Slaymaker for supporting this really worthwhile collection.”
