Have your say on Age Friendly Banbury

The next Age Friendly Banbury pop up will take place in the RVS Café, Cornhill Centre, giving residents and businesses a chance to air thoughts on the Age Friendly Pledge.

Age Friendly Banbury are wanting feedback on a consultation on an age-friendly district which Cherwell District Council is currently conducting.

The Cornhill Centre event on Thursday, February 20 between 10am and 12pm, will provide an opportunity to talk about the project with the Age Friendly team, give your thoughts on the Age Friendly Pledge and find out how to become involved.

The draft Age Friendly Pledge encourages businesses, groups and voluntary organisations to –

• Be welcoming and friendly to elder people,

• Consider easy access for all,

• Make all spaces welcoming and safe for older users,

• Promote and make available facilities such as toilets to older people, customers and non customers alike and

• Signpost individuals to information, services and opportunities that may interest the older generation.
