Nicola Kingsnorth and several other friends launched a GoFundMe web page to help the family of Dan Greaves after he tragically died on Christmas Day.

Nicola said the following on the GoFundMe page: "In the afternoon on Christmas Day we lost our best friend Dan Greaves unexpectedly at the age of just 29. In these tragic circumstances he leaves behind his devoted wife Hannah, his daughter Ella (3) and the twins Lily and Riley (15).

"They had enjoyed a beautiful Christmas Day opening presents, playing games, laughing and eating Christmas lunch together and were preparing for an afternoon walk when Dan collapsed suddenly and without any warning.

"Unfortunately, due to a pre-existing medical condition Dan had after suffering a heart attack when he was just 19, they been unable to obtain life insurance to protect their mortgage and family.

"This leaves a huge financial burden to Hannah to ensure herself and the children can continue to live in the house that Dan renovated just 3 years ago. Hannah now faces not only unexpected funeral costs but the foreseeable future of paying mortgage and bills."

Anyone who can help the Greaves family during this tragically tough time can contribute to the GoFundMe web page here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/hannah-the-kidsNicola added: "Dan was most proud of his family – he was open about it being his biggest achievement. He took his role as a husband and father to all three children very seriously and all he ever wanted was for them to be safe and protected. He contributed to the family practically with his skills in renovating their home and with the most amount of love you could imagine.

"You could not meet a kinder, more gentle-hearted man than Dan. He was the epitome of a fantastic husband and father – loyal, kind and trustworthy.

"We know these times are incredibly hard for everyone right now. If there is anything you can donate to help this heartbroken family at this extremely sad and traumatic time they will be forever grateful."
