Heather Clelford, Chair of Friends of the Horton, which runs the Horton League of Friends, said: “We are so thankful for this generous donation from Castle Lodge.

“The aim of the Friends of the Horton is to raise funds to purchase items of equipment which have been requested by the staff at the Horton General Hospital, and this money will go towards some much-needed equipment.”

Run entirely by volunteers, Friends of the Horton supports the work of the Horton General Hospital, part of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Mark Adams, Charity Steward at Castle Lodge in Banbury, said: “Every year we elect to support several local charities and are pleased to donate this money to the Horton League of Friends.

“The League provides valuable support for our community and we hope the donation makes a real difference.”
