Firefighters tackle motor home fire near Banburyshire village

Firefighters from Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue were called to attend a motorhome fire on the Boddington Road between Upper Boddington and Byfield Village around midday today (Tuesday April 13.)

Fire appliances from Daventry, the Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service and the Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service have responded to the fire.

A 200m cordon has been implemented due to LPG cylinders at the scene.

The Boddington Road is currently closed and will be so for sometime.

The Highways Agency have attended and Northamptonshire Police have been notified to assist with road closure.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
