Daryn’s crime comedy short film ‘The Tip’ was filmed on location at the Parson's Street bar Also Known As.

The plot sees Big Jake and Miles, two happy-go-lucky friends meet in a quiet bar to celebrate the completion of a job well done. But Miles has some unexpected news for his friend that sours the party.

The ‘Tip’ was shot on a modest budget of £1,000 and stars actor and stuntman Xue Zhang, who recently appeared in Hobbs and Shaw and Guy Ritchie’s The Gentleman, along with William Paul and Keziah Vokes.

Daryn said: “The last year has just been incredible for this film. We had a small but passionate crew of Oxfordshire based artists who came together to make this small film that is being recognised by festivals in the UK and the US.

"This is the first time I have been selected for a film festival and my aim was to just get selected for at least one, so I am thrilled at how many have recognised the hard

work put in by the crew.

Daryn makes time for writing and directing short films on top of his full-time day job as a marketing manager at SAE Institute. He also finds time to write feature length screenplays.

Daryn added: “I am looking forward to finally releasing ‘The Tip’ after the festival run has finished but I am also shopping my feature length screenplays around to producers and agents with the hope of getting one into production in the near future."
