Drive-in Films launches competition for free tickets to Trolls World Tour showing in Banbury

Kids at home? Here's a competition they may like to win tickets to see Trolls World Tour at the Drive-in cinema in Banbury.

You only need to download and print the picture of the Drive-in Cinema experience get them colouring and then take a pic and send to Drive In Films to enter.

To enter the competition colour the picture and email it to [email protected] by midday on Saturday August 15. Open to children aged 3-11 years old.

Drive in Films will select one of the entries to receive a complimentary Drive in Films experience (admission for up to 5 people and one car parking ticket) for the film Trolls World Tour on August 22 at Banbury Rugby Union Football Club.

Trolls World Tour is one of a half dozen films on offer for people to take in the drive-in cinema experience over the summer holidays in Banbury.

Ian Marriott, director of Drive in Films, said: "We will be staging a drive-in cinema experience to give the community a lift after lockdown and to help protect and provide much needed funds for the local Community Amateur Sports Club."

Drive in Films will bring a giant 7m by 9m screen showing current and classic films to The DCS Stadium, Bodicote Park, Banbury.

The following films will be available at The DCS Stadium over the summer holidays.

The first screening will be the film Joker at 7.30pm on Saturday August 8.

- Grease at 7.30pm on Sunday August 9.

- Rocketman at 7.30pm on Saturday August 21

- Trolls World Tour at 7.15pm on Sunday August 22

- Blinded by the Light at 7.15pm on Sunday August 30

- Mamma Mia at 7.15pm on Friday September 4

- 1917 at 7.15pm on Saturday September 5

Tickets and information are available from from the Drive in Films website here: www.driveinfilms.co.uk. Tickets cost £13.50 per car, and plus a £7 per person film entrance fee.

Drive in Films will accommodate around 120 cars and 300 people at each screening.

Ian said: "Part of the reason we're doing this is supporting local sports venues. We really want to encourage people to support the club and buy their food and drink. We're keen to stress 'help out your local club.'

"We hope that the community around Banbury will book tickets, have a great night out and come and support the local club and local business Drive In Films in this endeavour."

Food and drink will be offered and will be delivered to the car by staff who will be fully equipped in PPE, and working to current governmental guidelines around social distancing.

Drive in Films will also offer live Video DJ pre and post entertainment to experience.
