Dozens turn out for peaceful protest in support of Palestine in Banbury town centre

A peaceful protest for Palestine was held in the town centre of Banbury last weekend.

The event, held to show solidarity and support Palestine was held from 2 to 4pm on Sunday May 23 outside Banbury Town Hall.

Dozens of people held signs saying 'Free Palestine' and 'Banbury for Palestine.'

Maryam Ahmed, the organiser of the event, said: "It went very well, and I am very pleased with the turnout especially for Banbury.

"I hope that we’ve managed to educate people and create more awareness about the issue."
