An adorable dog from Deddington had been voted the UK’s Happiest Hound in an online competition.

12-year-old black Labrador Paris won the crown after a picture of her was submitted to Trusted Housesitters UK's Happiest Hounds competition by Deddington owner Kara Watson.

Commenting on the winning picture of Paris, Kara said: “Retirement definitely suits her—she doesn't look her age at all!”

A spokesperson for the competition said: “Paris melted the judges' hearts due to her young-at-heart energy and infectious grin. Congratulations to Paris and her pawsome owner for taking home the crown and showing us what true canine happiness looks like!”

The competition was launched by Trusted Housesitters, a global pet sitting finder website with 165,000 members that connects pet lovers and pet parents.

The winners of the UK’s Happiest Hound competition won prizes including a doggy caricature drawing and a year of free membership with the Trusted Housesitters website.
