Crews called to house fire in Banburyshire village

Crews from two fire services responded to a house fire in a Banburyshire village yesterday, Wednesday May 21.

Firefighters from the Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service responded to a fire emergency call at 5.20pm to a home in Adams Road, Woodford Halse.

No one was injured in the fire.

The fire mostly involved insulation in the roof of the home.

According to a Northhamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson, the fire occurred due to an electrical fault with the immersion heater.

Firefighters with the Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service assisted with one of their 'pumps.'

Crews contained the fire within half an hour.
