Bumper bunch of fundraisers for Banbury's BYHP

Banbury Young Homelessness Project (BYHP) have announced a series of fundraising events for the first part of the new year with the first one featuring a TV personality.

The first event is an evening with ITV’s chief sports presenter and BT Sport score presenter, Mark Pougatch on Friday, April 17, at Sulgrave Manor.

This is predominantly a corporate event includes a three-course dinner. Mark, who is also a BYHP Ambassador will be talking about his career together with sporting anecdotes from the various events he has hosted.

Speaking about his appointment as a BYHP Ambassador, Mark Pougatch said: “Having lived in the area for 15 years, I’m delighted to become involved and be an Ambassador for such an important charity that does so much good work in Banbury."

In May BYHP has also organised a Murder Mystery Night, also to be held at Sulgrave Manor, on Friday, May 8, which includes a brief talk and tour of the manor before sitting down to a two-course meal.

The theme is 1920’s prohibition America and the dastardly murder will be acted out by theatre group Sticky Endings.

Race Night returns on Friday, June 5 to be held at Banbury United Clubhouse, with eight races taking place on the big screen. Tickets include a fish and chip supper.

BYHP chief executive Patrick Vercoe said: “We are delighted that Mark Pougatch has agreed to be our first speaker at our inaugural sportsmans’ dinner and I sincerely hope that the other two events will be well supported by the community”.
