Bicester - Firefighters prevent field fire after combine Combine blaze
Firefighters from three fire stations prevented a field of barley blazing out of control yesterday evening (Sunday).
Crews from Bicester Fire Station, Kidlington Fire Station and Winslow attended a combine harvester that had ignited and spread flames to the cut crop on the edge of Bicester.
Firefighters using hose-reel jets and beaters were able to stop the spread of fire to surrounding standing crops.
With temperatures increasing, fire officers urge people to be careful in the countryside. Take a picnic, not a barbecue. For further advice visit https://www.365alive.co.uk/cms/
