Both Ben and his father, Chris Fenemore, are farmers as well as on-call firefighters, and work full-time on their local family farm and respond to Deddington Fire Station from there.
As an on-call firefighter they receive the same training as a full-time firefighter, but instead of being based at a fire station they are called out to respond to incidents when alerted, day or night to a local station.
