The Rustic Bean, in Parson’s Street, became a winter wonderland, with a cartoon-like Christmas tree with oversized baubles and other assorted festive favourites becoming the focus.

The interior decor was put up over two nights by owner of the cafe, Stacy Parsons and had such a positive response that cafe worker and Stacy's uncle, Terry Watson, suggested the idea of an appreciation donation box .

Terry decided the money raised should go to a homeless charity and this week that desire was met as the cafe handed over a cheque to Banbury Young Homelessness Project (BYHP) for £438.17

Terry said: "It was our customers appreciation of the decorations that they would show their goodwill to a local charity to help people in need."
