Michele Mannion led her first adult exercise class as Groove Aerobics instructor at Chasewell Community Centre on Tuesday November 2. She trained as a Groove Aerobics instructor with Daniel Browne and Gareth Sowerby, who has been her personal trainer and photographer.

She collected donations for the free class she held on November 2, which were given to the Alzheimer's Research UK. She had planned to donate 10 per cent of any profit she made on the other classes she led for the rest of November to the charity too.

Michele said: "When mum died 2.5 yrs ago and dad's battle with Alzheimer's took a grip around the same time. Both myself and my sister took solace in exercise.

"I have raised money for Alzheimer's Research UK by running my first ever 10K run in Brighton and by hosting two annual Mighty Quizzes at AKA. This year has been very hard to put on fund raising events and I know Alzheimer's Research UK have had a tough year.

"My dad, Tom Mannion, lived in Banbury for 40 years. He is currently safe and well in ACH Nursing Home in Birmingham."
