Banbury taxi company to offer free transport for OAPs during coronavirus crisis

Castle Cars taxi company started the service on Sunday March 15, but is still trying to get the word out in the community.
Talib Hussain, the manager at Castle Cars based at Banbury rail station, said: "We want to get the message out that we are here, and we would obviously like to help our community in these difficult times.

Hide Ad"With this virus the most vulnerable are the OAPs and with that what we've decided to do is offer a free taxi service."
The free transport service is available to anyone who is a pensioner, in their '60s' and a 'vulnerable' person in the community. The service is good for anywhere in town, and will run for about three to four weeks.
Castle Cars has between 60 to 70 cars in their taxi fleet and has been operating in Banbury town for more than 35 years.
All people have to need to do is call 01295 270011 and say they would like an OAP booking.

Hide AdPeople can also make their booking by downloading the free Castle Cars app or online through the Castle Cars website: http://castlecarsbanbury.co.uk/ When people make their booking online they will need to put OAP or 'vulnerable' booking in the comment section of the booking.
Talib added: " We'd like to get the message out that we are here for the community.
"At the end of the day we're trying to help the community by providing transport for the elderly.
"We are one community and we are united during this difficult time with the coronavirus."
