Banbury post office branch temporarily closes due to upcoming shop closure
The Post Office vacancy is currently being advertised. The Post Office said following the resignation of the postmaster and withdrawal of the premises for Post Office use, the branch at 56 Orchard Way closed temporarily on Thursday September 24.
A Post Office spokesperson, said: “Orchard Way Post Office temporarily closed due to the resignation of the operator. McColl’s, which operates the branch has made the difficult decision to close the shop.

The vacancy is advertised on www.runapostoffice.co.uk“In the interim alternative branches include Bradley Arcade and Ruscote.”

Hide AdA spokesperson for McColl’s said: “Having explored all options, regretfully we have taken the difficult decision to cease trading at the McColl’s store on Orchard Way in Banbury, North Oxfordshire. The store’s last day of trading will be the 16th of October 2020.
“We are saddened to no longer be operating the store and our priority has been to support all affected colleagues."
