The challenge is an annual sporting event which aims to push firefighters to their limits, provide entertainment for spectators and raise funds for the Fire Fighters Charity.

The 2021 event took place at Moreton-in-Marsh Fire Service College but this year the action went north and was hosted in Hull city centre on Saturday and Sunday.

The challenges the 250 competitors faced included a stair ascent and descent, a hose drag, a container carry and a rescue, using a 70kg dummy.
