The Banbury Youth & Community Enterprise, which became a registered C.I.C (community interest company) in November 2019, has launched the crowdfunding campaign to help raise money for a new IT system.

Kellie Harper, the director and co-founder of the group, said: "We are trying to reach as many businesses and residents of our great community as we possibly can, to raise vital funds for us to grow our secure IT system.

"We rely entirely on grants and local funding and as this can be very specific to what it is to be used for its not easy to meet all the needs."

The Banbury Youth & Community Enterprise began as a support group for women facing difficulties with their teenagers, due to the social issues that effect young people in Banbury, one of them being 'County Lines' drug exploitation. With the help of funding from a few local organisations it has grown to having two active projects and two more ready to begin. These projects are targeted to help those not receiving support elsewhere and use vital early intervention strategies to guide and support accessing other services.

Anyone who can help in the crowdfunding campaign can use the following web link to make a donation: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/growing-and-sustainabilityKellie added: "We are growing, which is excellent. However, in order to continue to grow we now need to raise vital funds for our IT system to upgrade and meet our demands. We have had a system quote from an excellent local IT support company and 100 per cent of the money raised will be used to pay for this.

"With a little help we we can continue to grow these services that are so vital to our community and we are happy to say that we are already seeing great results in terms of people that we are working with.

"Our projects are designed to support and empower those who are in need.......if you feel that you could help with this cause then we would be very grateful."
