Care UK’s Highmarket House, in North Bar Place, has expressed its gratitude for the consideration and generosity shown by the people of Banbury over the past couple of months.

From volunteering, to delivering messages and artwork to brighten everyone’s day, individuals and organisations have pulled together to support the older members of the community, and Care UK homes across the country have been overwhelmed by the kind gestures of local people.

Highmarket House has been inundated with support, receiving pompoms from community members Kirsty, Ella and Pat, to decorate the home, and a special delivery of Easter eggs from its local Morrison’s branch and from Home Bargains.

Mary Wadlow and friends also created special headbands, while Jeni Bruno donated ear protectors, for team members to wear with their masks to protect their ears.

The team was also treated to pizza from the home’s local Domino’s branch and pub snacks from Barley Mow Pub. Children at Carrdus School also put pen to paper and shared thoughtful letters and drawings with residents.

Whether it’s baking for a resident’s birthday, keeping the morale up through creative activities or organising family skype calls in the home’s cinema, team members at Highmarket House have also been praised for their unwavering dedication and relentless efforts over the past few months.
