CPB employees Tracey Twynham and Vicki Farrell are so concerned about the bush fires they decided to organise a charity fundraiser generating support from a variety of Banbury businesses who have donated dozens of raffle prizes

The draw for the raffle, which so far has just over 30 items up for grabs, will take place on Australia Day on January 24 with funds going to WIRES; NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service, a charity whose mission it is to rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife.

WIRES staff, qualified experts and volunteers are working around the clock to ensure that as many native animals as possible receive the ongoing care, supplementary food and recovery they need following the devastating wild fires.

CPB directors Helen Pritchett and Polina Cook are fully behind the raffle which CPB hope will raise a minimum of £1250.

They said: “We are so proud of Tracey and Vicki for coming up with the idea. They have been incredibly proactive in gathering some great raffle prizes and in promoting the raffle to friends, family and contacts.

"With the way ticket sales are going it looks like we will hit our target and hopefully raise even more”.

If you wish to support CPB’s fundraising by buying raffle tickets, which cost £5, call them on 01295 263 410 or email [email protected].
