Banbury business launches Christmas raffle fundraiser to help Katharine House Hospice

Emma Bushell, the owner of Emz Hairdressing, is giving its clients, friends and family a chance to win this Christmas holiday season and support a charity close to her heart at the same time.

Emma launched her Christmas raffle entitled 'Thank Emz it's Christmas' this weekend. She set up a JustGiving fundraising web page to help raise much needed money for the local charity, Katharine House Hospice.

She said: "My motivation to create 'Thank Emz it's Christmas' Raffle was one I thought up during a visit to Katharine House Hospice.

"Their dedication, energy and above all love and kindness to so many I have personally witnessed over the last weeks has been my motivation to create my raffle.

"My mum has been in Katharine House Hospice for some six weeks. My mum, still extremely unwell, is nearly well enough to go home (just) having been given no real hope when she went into Katherine House in October.

"As a small business salon owner my ability to fundraise for KHH whilst putting a smile on a few happy faces with the chance to 'Win' on this raffle. It's something for people to look forward to and think about something different whilst being able to raise money for a deserved service, locally."

- Salon Glam Service (inc. Redken Shades EQ Colour Gloss and blowdry)

The raffle closes on Monday December 21, and the three winners will be drawn by an independent company.

Emz Hairdressing Services, is located at The Studio, Beaumont House, Beaumont Road, Banbury.

Emma added: "Emz Hairdressing has always offered its clients a one to one service. This has proved particularly relevant and ominous in recent months during Covid-19.

"This gives privacy and a personal service. Emz has worked extremely hard to keep its salon within Covid-19 salon guidelines (NHBF National Hairdressers Federation) and offers services by appointment only."
