Banbury area mother - daughter team raise nearly £1,000 for charity in January running challenge

A Banbury area mother and daughter team raised nearly £1,000 in running challenge for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Tracey Wilson and daughter both ran a total of 31 miles in 31 days for the month of January after learning a close family friend spent Christmas in hospital undergoing surgery for the aggressive condition.

Tracey’s daughter, Phoebe, who is a junior doctor in Bournemouth also run the same challenge as part of her mother's team and together they raised £800 for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Tracey, who is the headteacher for St John's Priory School in Banbury, has also completed other running challenges for charity including: Run Every Day for Mind - the mental health charity and a The London Parks Half marathon for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
