Banbury animal rescue group to host online 'Small Furries' show fundraiser

The Banbury Animal Rescue and Kindness Service (BARKS) will hold the online show as a fundraiser to help them survive during the coronavirus outbreak.

The charity be hosting the 'Small Furries' show through its Facebook page, which will include rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, hamsters, degus and chinchillas.

People can submit a photo of their 'Small Furry' animal to the charity for a £1 entry fee. Payments for each entry can be made by PayPal to [email protected]

The online 'Small Furries' show will run from Monday June 8 to Sunday June 14.

The classes for the 'Small Furries' show include: class one - lovely lady, class two - handsome fella, class three - golden oldie, class four - best rescue, class five - loved up pair, class six - over the rainbow, Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show.

The charity recently held an online 'Cat Show' and raised more than £400 after 300 cats entered the show.

Banbury Animal Rescue and Kindness Service (BARKS) is a small, local, self-funding, volunteer-run local charity dedicated to the rescue, care and re-homing of cats, kittens, rabbits, guinea pigs and small rodents and covering Banbury and surrounding areas, extending into Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire.
