10 pictures: How the people of Banbury spend their time in lockdown

A Banbury photographer has taken a series of photographs of how people spend their time during the lockdown from the coronavirus pandemic.

Banbury photographer, Tila Rodriguez Past, has taken more than a dozen photographs of people going for a walk, a cycling ride or just having a coffee in the park during the lockdown. The pictures also show the impact of the lockdown on some people. Using her camera she has been able to observe lockdown safety protocol whilst being close enough for the photographs. Tila, a member of Banbury Extinction Rebellion, submitted the photographs to the Banbury Guardian as part of an online survey launched by Banbury XR on life in the lockdown and beyond. Milo and I have been gardening, doing creative projects, cooking, going on walks and cycle trips to nearby parks: Spiceball, Moorfield, and Banbury Country Park. We have been obeying all social distancing guidelines. Milo really misses his friends. I took a photo of him looking through the school gates, observing from the distance at key workers’ children play in the school’s playground. He really wanted to join them but he understood that he couldn’t."
