Those who thought panto season was over should probably re-consider, as St John’s Drama Group proudly declare “Oh no it isn’t!”

The organisation will perform Aladdin: A Musical Pantomime this week.

Their unique production follows Aladdin as he falls in love with a princess, stumbles across a wise-cracking genie and attempts to stop the evil sorcerer Abanazar.

Writer and director Ben Coleman said: “It is such a delight to watch such a talented group of performers.”

“I have been a member of the group for many years and it has grown and flourished into a vibrant company that I could not be more proud of.”

Established in 2006, the St John’s Drama Group provides local people with the chance to take part in humorous, ambitious productions.

This latest show takes place from tomorrow, Thursday, until Saturday (7.30pm each night) at St John’s RC Primary School. Tickets are available from www.ticketsource.co.uk/stjohnsdramagroup and Wacky Wardrobe in Swan Close Road, Banbury.
