Pair suffer serious injuries at AKA bar in Banbury

Police have issued a witness appeal after two men were injured during an ‘incident’ at the AKA bar.

The pair, aged 24 and 27, suffered injuries at the bar in Parsons Street around 12.40am on Sunday.

They were taken to John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment and police are trying to establish what happened.

Det Con Grahame Lea, from force CID at Banbury, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who was in the AKA bar on Saturday night or the early hours of Sunday morning and saw the incident or has any information about it.

“Anyone with information can contact us via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.

“If you don’t want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

“No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.”
