Kate Nesbitt, Banbury BID manager, said: “The Market Place is a hub for people to meet and shop, but the addition of the outdoor cinema will help demonstrate Banbury has more to offer than just great shops; it’s a destination.”

At 8pm the second film shown will be another musical, The Greatest Showman starring Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron.

In addition to the giant screen, which will be erected in the Market Place, a range of food and drink stalls from local suppliers will be available to provide movie refreshments and snacks for viewers.

The organisers will be providing 50 seats per showing, although people can take their own, with a total capacity of 500 available at each.
