A Tudor coat of arms, discovered as building stones in the walls of a cottage under renovation in Hanwell, has sold for £8,000 at auction.

The exquisitely carved, but damaged, armorial, which it is thought may have been made for a visit to Hanwell Castle by Henry VIII, has been sold to a collector.
