Stuart Moore, managing director of Plus One Personnel, based on the High Street, said: “We have been running the highly successful Banbury Employee of the Year Awards for the past five years however many businesses from outside the Banbury area told us they would like to enter, so for 2016 this event has been rebranded to allow companies from the whole county to nominate their star employees for a prestigious award.

“The Oxfordshire Employee of the Year Awards are a fantastic way for local businesses to publicly thank their employees for their hard work, and with six categories to enter, they are a great way to recognise and reward those individuals, teams or organisations that have shown outstanding achievement over the past 12 months.”

The awards give employers the opportunity to publicly recognise and reward individual members of staff and teams within their company who go the extra mile and have excelled over the past year.

They also represent a high-profile opportunity for firms to stand out as an employer of choice in the Oxfordshire area.

The categories for 2016 are Apprentice of the Year, Team of the Year, Charity Fundraiser of the Year, Commitment to Employment Award, Employer of the Year and Employee of the Year.

The awards are free to enter and open to all companies within Oxfordshire regardless of size or industry sector.

It does not matter in what capacity the person or people are employed within a company as the award is open to all, only that you are able to demonstrate to the judging panel how the nominee has made a significant contribution to the organisation.

Previous winners of the Banbury Awards include Mondelez International, Karcher UK, Bibby Financial, Katharine House Hospice, Banbury Young Homeless Project, Brethertons Solicitors, DHL, Norbar and Banbury & Bicester College.
