People in Banburyshire and across Oxfordshire have been recognised for their achievements after being named on the New Year’s Honours list.
Councillor Josephine Mary Graves of Chipping Norton Town Council has been awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to the community.
Eileen Valerie Davison Lead Scientist, West Midlands from Mollington has been given an MBE (Members of the Order of the British Empire) for services to Genomic Technologies.
Mrs Davison is joined by Dr Barbara Hammond, Chief Executive of the Low Carbon Hub, for
services to Community Energy Development particularly in Oxfordshire, and Katherine Mary Powley, County Network Coordinator and Streetworks Manager at Oxfordshire County Council, for services to the
community in Oxfordshire.
David Etheridge, Chief Fire Officer, Oxfordshire County
Council Fire and Rescue Service, has been awarded an OBE (Officers of the Order of the British Empire) for
services to the community.
