Chipping Norton’s post office may be moving to a new location and customers have until May 27 to share their views.
The Post Office wants to move the branch 130 metres from its current site at 20 High Street to the Midcounties Co-op.
If it goes ahead, its opening hours will be extended by 44 hours a week to 90 hours with four counters including a Post Office serving point at the retail counter.
Two of the counters will be open plan and one of the counters will be screened.
The three main counters will be open from Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5.30pm.
The shop’s opening hours will be Monday to Saturday, from 8am to 10pm and Sunday, from 10am to 4pm.
Customers will be able to access the fourth counter, Post Office serving point, during these times.
Will Russell, area manager, said: “We understand how important having a post office is to residents in Chipping Norton and we are confident this new modern post office service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.
“This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the post office and marks a commitment to no more branch closure programmes.”
The post office is now inviting customers to give their views before a final decision is taken on the proposal. The consultation will close on May 27.
Submissions can be made during the consultation by Freepost YOUR COMMENTS to Post Office Ltd, to firstname.lastname@example.org, via the customer helpline on 08457 223344 or textphone 08457 223355.
Customers can also share their views online through a questionnaire at postofficeviews.co.uk with the branch code 06113799.
