Banbury Ornithological Society has installed a new sand martin breeding site at Balscote Quarry Nature Reserve, thanks to a grant of £600.

The funds have been provided by the Trust for Oxfordshire’s Environment and funding partner Grundon Waste Management. The work was undertaken in October and will provide additional nesting sites for sand martins when they return each spring.
