In a statement on the cafe’s Facebook page proprietor Naomi Watkins said: “I am closing the café due to personal reasons. Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past two and a half years and for all the happy memories I’ll take away with me.”
The cafe’s future looked safe as an anonymous benefactor saved the cafe from closure in October of last year in addition to money being raised with a fundraising page.
Reaction to the closure has been mixed however the majority of Banbury residents are sad to see the community cafe close its doors.
