Banbury boy Usmaan Khan has won Freddie, a huge cuddly teddy bear, after his mum Ifra Bi won a ‘Guess the name of the bear’ contest at the Abacus Healthcare stand at the Kidz to Adultz South Disabled Living exhibition, in Reading.

Usmaan, aged four, has global developmental delay and epilepsy, and is unable to support himself, walk or talk, so requires continual care from Ifra.

Abacus Healthcare is a leading supplier of bathroom equipment for adults and children needing specialist care.

Ifra visited the stand in search of a special bath for Usmaan that would save her from having to keep lifting him in and out, as he is already tall and heavy for his age.

She is now applying for grant in order to purchase a height-adjustable bath from the company.
