Man punched after collecting takeway in Banbury

A 41-year-old man needed hospital treatment after he was assaulted while collecting a takeway in Banbury yesterday (Sunday).

At around 4pm the victim parked his car in Middleton Road in order to collect a takeaway.

His family was waiting in the car and a man approached the passenger window and spat on it.

The victim and his wife challenged the offender and he then assaulted the husband by punching him in the mouth, then he walked off.

The victim sustained an injury to his lip and was taken to Horton General Hospital for treatment.

The offender is white, aged in his thirties, 5ft 11ins, medium build.

He has short hair and was wearing a black tracksuit jacket and dark trousers and was carrying two white carrier bags.
