Man dies after collision in Thorpe Mandeville

NORTHAMPTONSHIRE Police has confirmed a 47-year-old man has died after a road traffic collision near Thorpe Mandeville on Friday.

At 7.40pm a black VW Golf, being driven by a 21-year-old woman from Chacombe, and a black MG BGT, being driven by a 47-year-old man collided on the Banbury Lane.

The 47-year-old man sustained fatal injuries in the crash.

The 21-year-old woman received minor injuries and was taken to the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

Officers from the Northamptonshire Police Collision Investigation Team are working to establish the cause of the crash and would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed it, or who was travelling along Banbury Lane between Thorpe Mandeville and the B4525 earlier in the evening.
