Man charged with absconding from prison near Bicester

A man alleged to have absconded from HMP Springhill in Grendon Underwood, near Bicester has been charged following his arrest in Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire on Monday, June 1.

Ross Underwood, 30, of no fixed abode, was charged with one count of escape from lawful custody, after allegedly absconding from HMP Springhill at Grendon Underwood on Sunday 24 May.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Northampton Crown Court on 17 June.
