Questions and concerns about cancer will be addressed in three free, specialist support and information sessions run by Macmillan Cancer Support next week.

The organisation’s mobile service will be in Banbury, Chipping Norton and Bicester with cancer information specialists on hand to answer questions and offer support.

The team encourages anyone with worries or concerns relating to cancer to go along, whether they are living with or beyond cancer or are a carer or loved one of someone who is.

“Cancer can impact on all aspects of your life, and the mobile service team is available to provide information on issues ranging from how to deal with the side effects of treatment, what local support is available for carers, where to turn if you are struggling with your finances and information on where to get travel insurance,” said David Martin of Macmillan.

The mobile service will be in Chipping Norton, outside Sainsbury’s from 10am - 4pm on Tuesday with Gemma Crane from Ucare, Oxford, an organisation committed to improving the treatment and care of cancer patients through research and education.

Ms Crane will provide information and advice about signs and symptoms of cancers and also provide information and support to patients.

Other dates are on Wednesday in Cornhill, Banbury - the pedestrianised area of the Market Place - between 10am - 4pm and in Sheep Street, Bicester, opposite the Methodist Church, on Thursday, also from 9am - 3pm.
