M40 CRASH UPDATE: One lane now open
One lane of the M40 is now open on the northbound carriageway between junctions 11 and 12 following this morning’s fatal crash.
Two lanes still remain closed after the incident, which happened at about 11.20am and involved a van and a lorry.
The driver of the van sadly died and the passenger was taken to hospital with ‘life-changing injuries’.
Delays are still expected near junction 11 and diversions are likely to be in place for the rest of the afternoon.
