Leading wig company in Banbury relocates to new village development

A Banbury firm who are a leading company in the world of wigs is relocating to a new development in Wroxton.

Banbury Postiche is the only one of its kind and has been making wigs for more than 90 years, starting life as a small family business.

It has been at its current premises in Little Bourton House since the 1960s and has outgrown the site in recent years.

Now, owners Nick Allen and Rory Henderson, plan to relocate three miles down the road to Apollo Park after buying four industrial units.

Mr Allen said: “Banbury Postiche has grown from a family business to a multi-million pound international company and as a result we just outgrew our current premises.

“We are really excited about the move and are delighted that we are remaining in Banbury. We are going to be moving into custom-built premises which will meet the needs of our company and customers.

“This is a new chapter for the company and one which will help enable it to continue for another 90 years. We have customers from all over the world and our services range from providing wigs for NHS and private patients, to providing materials for film companies – such as Harry Potter and the latest Star Wars movie.

The ten-unit scheme is set to be completed in July and is the second phase of development at Apollo Park, Wroxton, which is also the headquarters of the Bentley Drivers Club.
