An arts and crafts exhibition in King’s Sutton has been hailed a success and raised money for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
Members of the village group Sutton Stitches have been regularly meeting up at the memorial hall for 11 years and the event on Saturday saw many talented crafters display their work.
Carole Hill runs Sutton Stitches and said: “There was displays of people’s work as well as our work and that of our youth group. We have fundraised for the church in the past and members of the group voted to raise money for the air ambulance.
“It does give artists a real buzz seeing their work displayed and maybe they appreciate it more and the people who are doing this don’t know how creative they really are. It was really successful and there was a great atmosphere.”
The groups meets twice a month at the memorial hall where the meet and share ideas and work on projects. They also have artists come and do talks from time to time.
