One person’s trash was another person’s treasure at Banbury Community Action Group’s (CAG) give and take event last weekend. More than 130 residents brought along items they no longer needed or took items they wanted at the Methodist Church, in Marlborough Road.
All of the items brought in were weighed and it was estimated that around 220kg of waste was saved from landfill. Items included crockery, Lego, espresso machines and yoghurt makers.
Most of the items were taken on the day with the rest donated to the British Heart Foundation shop in Banbury.
