Banbury MP Victoria Prentis has chosen the winner of her first ever Christmas card competition.
The design will be printed on the Christmas cards she sends out this year after Mrs Prentis invited children from across her North Oxfordshire constituency to submit creative designs, with the simple brief that every entry must contain an angel.
After an exhaustive deliberation process, Year Two pupil Jasmine McDermott from Bure Park School in Bicester was selected as the winner.
There were also three runners up with Isabella Howells in Year Three and Jiya Pai and Emmanuel Baah, both in Year Two, whose designs will be featured on the back of the card.
Mrs Prentis said: “There were so many brilliant entries, it was an absolute joy to look through them all. I certainly had a tough decision to make! Thank you and well done to everyone who entered, especially Jasmine, Isabella, Jiya and Emmanuel. I really hope that next year, everyone takes part with this much enthusiasm!”
The winner and runners up received gifts from the House of Commons, with Jasmine and her family also being invited to the Palace of Westminster for a tour and tea with Mrs Prentis.
