Horton campaign group enjoys busy trade and collects signatures at Banbury Market
Shoppers flocked to the Keep the Horton General campaign stall at Banbury Market on Saturday.
A new tee shirt, badges and Horton cakes sold out quickly and hundreds lined up to sign a petition opposing Oxford University Hospital Trust’s plans to remove maternity services and calling on the Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group to protect all acute services at Banbury’s Horton General Hospital.
Current and former patients recounted numerous cases where their conditions would not have allowed time to reach the Oxford hospital. One said an appointment at the JR last week had cost her £40 in car transport charges.
