The Castle at Edgehill is a 17th century pub overlooking the historic site of the Battle of Edgehill, the first major battle of the English Civil War.

The castle was converted into a public house in 1822 and was acquired by the Hook Norton brewery a century later.

It has now been thrust into the 21st century becoming fully licensed for both civil ceremonies and partnerships in all areas of The Castle.

Run by British Institute of Inn keeping Licensee of the Year Mark Higgs, wedding day services can also include
the use of the brewery’s iconic shire horses and dray as a
wedding car or allowing the happy couple to brew their very own wedding beer to be served to guests.

Operations Manager Gerard Winder said: “The Castle is a truly unique venue and the first of our pubs to have a licence for weddings .

“Mark and his team will bring their usual outstanding level of service to this new area of their business and we wish them the best of success.”
