Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Woodford Halse, near Daventry, which happened in the early hours of Friday, 1 May.

The metal detector was taken along with batteries and a charger.

Police have also released images of the gun, which is produced by a company called Niton.

A force spokesperson said: “We would like to hear from anybody who has been offered this item for sale, or who has any information as to its whereabouts.”

Witnesses or anyone with any information are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
