Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident of criminal damage at a construction site in North Bar Place.
At 9pm yesterday (Monday), they received a phone call from man who said a group of people were throwing rocks at his car which was on the construction site.
When the victim tried to leave the site on foot, some of the group blocked his exit, forcing him to take shelter in a mobile office. Once he locked himself inside, the group continued to damage his car and another car that was on the site before they left.
The group are described as being about eight to ten in number, all men and of unknown ethnicities. Most of the men are of medium build and height; three were described as being taller and of larger build than the rest.
The men were wearing hooded tops; two of which were light coloured and the rest were dark coloured.
The group left the construction site along Horse Fair.
