Banbury Women in Business (BWIB) has kickstarted 2015 by increasing the number of speakers at its lunch meetings.
Rather than inviting one speaker, at each meeting BWIB will be welcoming a local business and a local charity or community group to address attendees.
On March 10 more than 40 women enjoyed a two-course meal at The Castle, Edgehill and heard from Jody Fletcher, of Chilli Promotional Products. She talked about printing onto promotional material and gave tips on how best to personalise material to leave an impression. Jane Miles, chief executive at Katharine House Hospice, also spoke and outlined the importance of the charity in the community.
BWIB committee member Michelle Lewis said: “This was a brilliant start to BWIB’s new structure, and we were very fortunate to hold the meeting in as fantastic a setting as The Castle. Both Jody and Jane bring such different things to the room, yet both work daily and with passion on initiatives to best target their audiences.”
The next lunch is on June 9 at The Mason’s Arms in Swerford. See www.banburywomeninbusiness.co.uk for more.
