Banbury Sailing Club are just one of many clubs across the area offering people the chance to get out onto the water and give the sport a try for free.

The club are based at Boddington Reservoir and the ‘have-a-go’ sessions are being held over the May Bank Holiday weekend on Sunday, May 3 and Monday, May 4.

The event is part of the Royal Yachting Association’s (RYA) Push the Boat Out 2015, which introduces sailing to newcomers of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

More than 25 clubs and sailing centres across the area have already signed up for the initiative, and all you need are warm clothes, soft soleshoes and a waterproof.
